Stobart Aviation Services

Irlam Associates supported Stobart Aviation with a new contract win (Amazon) at Southend Airport with a time-sensitive GO-LIVE date. Irlam Associates placed over 80 workers that required 5-year background checks, DBS checks and Cargo training within a 3 week time period.

  • Assignment:  Major cargo client turned to Irlam Associates for support.

  • Action:  Irlam Associates took the brief and set up the operation at Southend Airport the next day, working 7 days a week

  • Result:  All 80 candidates delivered on time for the 3-week go-live date with all training completed and passes required.

NHS

Nightingale hospitals that opened to support the overwhelming volume of COVID cases. Irlam Associates adapted quickly and utilised the Aviation staff that were furloughed to place into the respective Nightingale Hospitals. The NHS required DBS checked staff and we were, therefore, able to work towards the criteria they required, at speed.

Assignment: A major facilities management business was in need of a very high volume of staff to support across a number of hospitals nationally.

Action: Having features such as DBS checker, Irlam Associates were able to submit high volumes of candidates with live DBS that could start immediately.

Result: Circa 100 candidates sourced from our CRM along with a number of additional campaigns.

Case Study

Wincanton Nestle Purina

Irlam Associates were asked to support Wincanton Nestle Purina (a large multi-user 3PL startup). They required a vast array of candidates with different skill sets including a newly set-up WMS team. Irlam Associates were requested to supply multiple staffing solutions and sat down to discuss the most cost-effective plans. Irlam Associates placed over 40 permanent staff within 6 months of the site opening.

Assignment: Irlam Associates were asked by a major Supply Chain Business to support the setup of a new large 3PL operation.

Action: Irlam Associates were able to advise on three different proposals to execute the operation including the costing model, onboarding timescales, and labour planning.

Result: Irlam Associates were able to add value with their experience, show true cost savings, decrease attrition rate through a vigorous onboarding process and make the operation a success.
